Crémant d’Alsace, our signature wines
We have made Crémant d’Alsace our specialty. These were first tested in 1980, and they soon became a firm favourite. 40 years later, we have dedicated an entire production facility to Crémant, not to mention our nationally- and internationally-renowned expertise in the field. With no fewer than 12 Crémants, we can offer two star-studded collections, each with their own distinct style.
The Essentials
Crémants combining the expression of fruit, freshness and finesse. Friendly Crémants to share at any time.
The Creations
Crémants which have had years to age and express their true character. Tasting Crémants, designed for grand tables and special occasions.
Alsace’s wines
Grape varieties
Fruity and delightful wines, the purest expression of Alsace’s native varieties. With a string of medals and awards from major national and international wine shows, these are from plots with exceptional exposure to the sun and elements. These wines are balanced and supple, designed to be enjoyed young.
Old Vines and Classics
Wines made from grapes grown on vines planted more than 25 years ago. Complex and full-bodied wines which preserve the identity of their terroir, while expressing the character of the region’s iconic grape varieties.
Passion
Single-plot wines, selected from our most exquisite vineyards. Complex and intense wines, bringing you the very essence of Alsace’s iconic grape varieties.
Bouquet
A summer selection, focused on freshness and fruity aromas. Gentle maceration gives these Pinot varietals a delicate colour and just a little roundness in the glass.
Exceptional wines
Grands Crus
Among the most illustrious of our wines, we are proud to present our Grands Crus Sonnenglanz in Pinot Gris and in Gewurztraminer. A masterclass in aromatic depth and complexity, a full expression of the sun’s power and the earth’s bounty, you can feel the energy in each glass. Let’s not forget our Riesling Grand Cru Schoenenbourg de Riquewihr, only a few kilometres away and already completely different: this wine is extremely fine, intense, vivacious, and floral, with an exceptionally long finish.
We also offer wines from our Grand Cru Froehn vineyards in the commune of Zellenberg (Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer), and the Grand Cru Mandelberg in the commune of Mittelwihr (Gewurztraminer).
Late Harvests & Noble Selection
We only produce wines in our Late Harvest and Noble Selection ranges from our most beautiful vineyards and in the best vintages. These wines are rich and concentrated, with exceptional potential for ageing. We work each wine to ensure that it preserves a fine balance between richness, finesse, and freshness.
Organic wines and Crémant d’Alsace
Since 2003, the cooperative’s growers have been tending their vines in a deliberately sustainable way, using as few pesticides and herbicides as possible. What’s more, in January 2021, the Cave was awarded the highest grade of the HVE certification, level 3. HVE 3 certification guarantees that our vineyards integrate and promote biodiversity, reducing our intervention as much as possible (plant chemicals, fertiliser, energy, feed, etc.), to ensure that our operation remains sustainable, independent, and helps protect our soil, water, and air.
In 2021, the proportion of the Cave de Beblenheim’s vineyards which are now grown organically increased by 20%. This reflects our growers’ commitment to preserve their land, their terroir, and their environment, ensuring that their children and grandchildren can perpetuate their work and their passion. A full range of organic wines is now available to buy at the Cave de Beblenheim.
